If there is one thing uniting Germans and Italians, it’s their shared love for coffee and cake. And since a functional relationship only works when everyone is contributing what they do best, our coffee at the HOTEL AM MEER tastes like a sunny afternoon on a piazza in Rom. The cake, however, smells and tastes like a summer holiday with ”Grandma Ruegen”.
The reason: Our baristas drive a ”Ferrari” – with our original La Cimbali portafilter espresso machine, they conjure illy-espressos, cappuccinos, and various other specialties following original Italian standards. And because our boss did lose his heart to Italian coffee a long time ago – and being a certified engineer – he insists on checking the quality himself in every free minute and personally handles the fine tuning.
Our chefs provide the daily freshly baked cakes. Whether it’s fresh pie with seasonal fruits, opulent pastry art or traditional recipes in a modern interpretation – everyone with a “sweet tooth” will here probably be more than hard pressed to abstain from their vices.
