Do as the Finns do. It’s not an uncommon occurrence when promenade passers-by, bundled in woollen hats and shawls, are suddenly being startled by steaming figures in bathrobes disappearing after a few meter’s running into the Baltic Sea huffing and puffing. The reason for that lies both in the immediate proximity to the beach across the promenade and in the fact that no ever so elaborate pool can be topped by a dip in the sea. You just have to work up the courage! Pro tip: Just shout something incomprehensible with lots of “aeee” and “ii” (anything sounding vaguely umlauty). One might then graciously take you for a genuine Finn.
Saunas at a very high standard: The Finnish sauna is made of high-quality red cedar with ergonomically shaped reclining surfaces, a backlit salt stone wall from the Himalayan mountains and automatic infusion, the sanarium is made of fine wood with a curved ceiling and round shaped benches and the steam bath has a gold net inlay in black acrylic walls.
