A tanned surfer boy saunters up to the counter and greets the chipper business lady with an easy “hang loose,” a gentle sea breeze flutters over the beach promenade and the open terrace to the gold leaf covered bar. Atmospherically backlit Carrara marble vies with the setting sun for the most spectacular light. You are in the Meerbar in Binz. Here, opposites naturally become harmony: designer furniture wrapped in vintage leather, tables and parquet flooring in a driftwood optic create a striking counterpoint to the glass architecture.
