There are hotels that divide their breakfast selection into English, American, and Continental. We don‘t have any use for that. Universal would seem more fitting. Or even All-Star-Breakfast. More important than those terms anyway, is to us that you start every day with a culinary surprise. Loose leaf teas in many aromatic varieties, filtered or freshly grounded coffee, a huge selection of smoked fish specialties, a diverse choice of cheeses, assorted cold meat from regional craft businesses, four different choices of milk, ranging from whole milk and fat-reduced varieties to soy and lactose-free milk, freshly made Bircher muesli among other cereals, a large choice of freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruits, moist artisan bread and rolls from the island bakery – obviously you can still go for your toast with jam or a buttered roll like every other day, but we would place any bet that you might soon forsake those gladly. By the way: You will certainly look in vain for any dully-simmering hotel scrambled eggs with a vaguely rubbery consistency. We ask every guest individually, if they would like their eggs boiled, scrambled, or fried, with herbs, tomatoes, or bacon (or preferably with everything), and always serve it fresh.

And if you like to have a lie-in anyway, we are happy to serve our residential guests an a la carte breakfast until 1.30pm.

 

Apropos fresh: News fresh from the printing press is served alongside your breakfast with a complimentary copy of the daily newspaper  “Die Welt”. And for planning your day’s activities our hotel’s own ”Morgenpost” might come in handy for the latest tips on outings and events as well as for current offers from our spa.
